WASHINGTON, DC-Leaving themselves no wiggle room in the schedule, Congress hopes to rush a deal to raise the debt ceiling across the finish  line on Monday, in time for the Aug 2 deadline. The legislation is based on a compromise brokered between President Obama and Democratic and Republican leaders in Congress. All that remains--and it is a big hurdle--is to get the vote through Congress. Both the liberal and conservative wings of the Democratic and Republican parties, respectively, have decried some of the provisions.
