NEW YORK CITY-Hospitality insiders will cover the fundamental parts of this growing sector at Thursday’s RealShare HOTELS 2011. The annual conference, through a series of moderated panels, will bring together experts in the industry who will delve into the most important topics in the Hospitality space, from capital availability to who’s building and where.
This year’s conference will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Hilton New York Hotel at 1335 Avenue of the Americas.
The morning panels include “Economic Forecast: Markets on the Rise, Markets to Avoid, and Where It’s All Heading.” Geoffrey Davis, president of HREC Investment Advisors, will moderate this panel, which features speakers J.P. Ford, senior VP at Lodging Econometrics; Jan Freitag, senior VP, global development at STR and Ross Woods, principal at Hotel Investment Strategies.

Because the availability of capital is key, this will be the focus of a morning panel discussion as well. “Capital Markets Update: Lenders are Back—What Are They Looking For?” will explore the requirements that lenders attaching to borrowers in this new economic environment. Mike Armstrong, a partner at HREC Investment Advisors, will moderate this panel.
Other speakers at the ALM Real Estate Media Group-produced event include experts from Wyndham Hotel Group, Choice Hotels International, Square Mile Capital Management, Greenberg Traurig and Cantor Fitzgerald.
