SAN DIEGO-Commercial real estate development in the retail world is still not happening on any kind of large scale, but there are a few opportunities out there, revealed Vanessa Delgado, director of development at Primetor. She spoke at the recent ICSC Western Division Conference with GlobeSt.com's Ian Ritter the morning after a major power outtage hit that area.

Their discussion also touched on:

  • Public-private partnerships in commercial real estate.
  • Value-added commercial real estate opportunities.
  • Retail real estate development in urban areas.
  • Retailers asking for rent concessions.
