NEW YORK CITY-Two non-profits have inked lease deals brokered by Cassidy Turley’s Not-for-Profit Practice Group of late—both in buildings owned by the Feil Organization.

In the first deal, the Roosevelt Institute signed on for 10,400 square feet in an expansion and consolidation at 570 Lexington Ave. The group works to promote and foster the legacy of Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt. Of the new space, CFO Paul Bennett said that the open floor plan of the new office would allow “different internal functions to work together.”

Meanwhile, the Wounded Warrior Project, which is geared toward creating successful, well-adjusted wounded service members, will move into roughly 9,400 square feet of space at 7 Penn Plaza. The non-profit is growing, according to Ryan Downs, its director of Architecture & Physical Infrastructure. “Cassidy Turley developed a number of potential occupancy scenarios to handle our organization’s rapid expansion needs,” Downs said in a prepared statement. “Their creativity was instrumental in making our lease happen.”

Robair Reichenstein, managing director of Cassidy Turley’s Not-for-Profit Practice Group, represented the tenants in the leases, along with VP Debra Wollens, associate Edward Kent and the head of that group, David Lebenstein. Brian Feil and David Turino represented the Feil Organization in-house.

“Cassidy Turley recognized that both organizations needed centrally-located space to strengthen their respective organizations,” Reichenstein said in a prepared statement. “For both nonprofits, Cassidy Turley developed a tailored solution with the landlord, the Feil Organization, that allowed for lease expansions and consolidations on a turn-key basis to accommodate the challenge of growth with limited financial resources.”
