RALEIGH, NC-Prudential Financial Inc.'s real estate investment subsidiary has acquired Oberlin Court, a complex comprising 370 apartment units and 30,000 square feet of retail space at 1009 Wade Ave. near Cameron Village, for $72.25 million. The property was sold by Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co.
Northwestern Mutual financed the construction of the Oberlin Court complex in 2005 and in 2007. Various tenants, including Gigi's Cupcakes, Massage Envy, Tropical Smoothie, Zoe's Kitchen and the Right Time Kids drop-in day care occupy space in the complex.
