DISTRICT HEIGHTS, MD-Freddie Mac has seized the Forest Creek apartments 5601-6401 Hil Mar Drive in District Heights, Prince George's County for $62 million. As stated in the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation, the Federal Home Loan Mortgage Corp. has acquired the 38-acre, 930-unit garden-style apartment community on December 20.
Freddie Mac acquired the apartment complex from Atlanta-based Miles Properties Inc. The 69-building complex was constructed in 1963 and refurbished in 1982. In January 2010, Miles Properties filed for bankruptcy protection. For the full story, go to Washington Business Journal .
