NEW YORK CITY-ALM’s Real Estate Media Group, which produces GlobeSt.com and Real Estate Forum, has unveiled plans for a major digital expansion including revamped email offerings and an enhanced social media presence. “This expansion is being supported by the restructuring of Real Estate Media’s digital sales and marketing teams,” says Michael G. Desiato, vice president and group publisher.

According to Desiato, the digital sales team will be led by vice president of strategic development Daniel Ceniceros.  In this expanded role, Ceniceros, who also heads up the RealShare Conference Series, will be responsible for online advertising sales and developing strategic partnerships. “We’re in a growth mode,” says Ceniceros, a 15-year veteran of the firm. “While the site expands, we can enhance service to our clients, who can utilize GlobeSt.com to accomplish their business objectives.”

To support this effort, other growth moves were unveiled for GlobeSt.com. The firm has hired Stephanie A. Stevenson, formerly promotions specialist for ePromos, and Mathew Kwinter, previously the business manager for Inkwell Global Marketing, as account sales executives.

Partnering with Daniel on this effort, and leading the digital marketing and operations team is Scott Thompson, vice president of integrated marketing and sales development. “Daniel’s knowledge of the industry and client-service skills, coupled with Scott’s expertise in marketing and multimedia execution, provide a perfect blend of talents to lead this endeavor,” says Desiato. “The two are already working together successfully on our recently launched Thought Leadership program, which has received a great response from clients seeking custom-content editorial packages.”

Desiato, a co-founder of GlobeSt.com in 1999, notes that the site, now with 50,000 registered members and more than 250,000 daily News Alert subscriptions, has carved a unique position as the mandatory daily online venue for real estate decision makers to read about the latest industry buzz as well as share their thoughts on important deals and market trends. Ceniceros and Thompson continue to report to Desiato. Thompson says GlobeSt.com’s revitalization will change the way readers interact with the site.

The planed enhancements include a redesign of the site, a greater focus on mobile readability, an increase in content volume, a boost in B2B capabilities and a greater social media presence. Toward this end, Miriam Lamey has been appointed digital content coordinator. Lamey, who works closely with Thompson and reports to content director John Salustri, comes from BevNet, where she was responsible for digital and print content. She also freelanced for the Boston Phoenix, an alternative weekly. Salustri will play a pivotal role in the expansion of content and expanding relationships with industry firms.

“GlobeSt.com’s revitalization will allow us to give readers a ramped-up editorial experience,” Desiato says. “These moves will continue to solidify us as the content leaders in commercial real estate news.”
