BIRMINGHAM, AL-Summit Hotel Properties Inc., a South Dakota-based real estate investment trust, has acquired Hilton Garden Inn for $8.6 million. This is another hotel the REIT has added to its Birmingham portfolio.
Hilton Garden Inn is situated in the Wildwood Centre. Hanuman LLC, managed by HP Hotels' Chiman Patel, was the seller. Summit Hotel Properties also recently agreed to buy the Inn in Liberty Park from Patel for $11.9 million. For the full story, go to Birmingham Business Journal .
