FAIRFAX, VA-Minneapolis-based Target Corp. has taken its slice of the Mosaic at Merrifield center from Edens Realty Inc. The national retailer has paid nearly $43.2 million for the spot at the mixed-use center in Fairfax County.

Target earlier signed a lease to join Anthropologie, Angelika Film Center, Neiman Marcus Last Call and South Moon Under in the center. The Mosaic development is expected to include additional 73,000 square feet of offices, nearly 350,000 square feet of retail, a hotel and a movie theater.
