NEW YORK CITY-Arthur J. Mirante has left his longtime home at Cushman & Wakefield to helm the launch of Avison Young’s new Manhattan office. Over the past three years, the Canadian brokerage firm has grown its network of locations to 30 offices in 27 markets under the guidance of chairman and CEO Mark E. Rose.

Mirante, who most recently was president of global client development at C&W, won his star on the sidewalk as the firm’s longtime president and CEO where he was responsible for boosting revenues to $1 billion. He comes on Avison Young as principal and tri-state president, joining principal Greg Kraut and will oversee business development, growing revenue, and building strategic industry relationships. Mirante will also be part of the executive operating committee.

“We are extremely pleased to bring someone of Arthur’s caliber on board to drive the growth of our Tri-State market presence,” says Rose in a statement. “Arthur’s unparalleled industry relationships and expertise in the areas of corporate and business development on a global level will position us strongly to advance our growth objectives in recruiting the area’s top talent, identifying and executing on strategic acquisitions and partnerships, and further developing our corporate and institutional client relationships.”
