NEW YORK CITY-Vornado Realty Trust, headed by Steven Roth and Michael Fascitelli, is making an acquisition in New York City. The REIT has reached a contract to purchase 33,389 square feet of retail space at 680 Madison Ave. from Angelo, Gordon & Co. and Gary Barnett's Extell Development for $280 million
The price equates to almost $8,235 per square foot. Barnett bought the property in 2010 for $164 million from the Helmsley estate. Joel Isaacs with Isaacs and Co. is marketing the retail space. For the full story, go to New York Post .
