NEW YORK CITY-The neo-Gothic Woolworth Building in New York City will be turned into condominiums. The building, known as Cathedral of Commerce, was opened in 1913.
A $68-million deal was finalized last week to turn the building into approximately 40 apartments with a five-story penthouse in the cupola. On July 31, an investment group headed by New York-based Alchemy Properties purchased the top 30 floors of the building from Cammeby's International and the Witkoff Group. The development will cost roughly $150 million. For the full story, go to New York Times .
