NAPERVILLE, IL-Handi-Foil Corp. has acquired a 400,100-square-foot vacant facility at 2275 W. Diehl Road in Naperville for $16.5 million. New York-based BlackRock Inc. sold the building for $41 per square feet.
The aluminum bakeware manufacturer is planning to renovate the facility to include a distribution and warehousing area of 362,927 square feet and 36,610 square feet of production space. The building was previously leased by LTD Commodities LLC. With the purchase of the Naperville building, Handi-Foil's total footprint has expanded to 1.2 million square feet.
