BROOLYN PARK, MN- Access America Transport, a transportation brokerage services provider, signed a lease for 30,000 square feet in Northland Corporate Center. The commercial real estate transaction is a relocation play for Access America, which will move into its new digs in January, 2013.

Headquartered in Chattanooga, TN, Access America's Minnesota branch opened in 2006 in Ramsey, MN. In 2011, the company's sales revenue doubled, creating more than 200 new jobs in Minnesota and four other states. The company has projected 2012 revenues of more than $400 million. 

Dan Lofgren, senior associate, and Avery Ticer, associate director at Cushman & Wakefield/NorthMarq, secured the lease for Access America Transport. Kai Thomsen of Cassidy Turley represented Northland Corporate Center owner OC Ventures LLC.

• Comerica Bank sold 16,105 square feet at 16145 E. 8 Mile Rd. to Karim Yono. NAI Farbman’s Paul DeBono and Ron Goldstone represented the seller in the commercial real estate transaction.

ROCHESTER HILLS, MI

• Barnes & Noble Rochester Hills LLC sold 41,709 square feet of retail space at 2800 S. Rochester Rd. Viktor Gjonaj of Signature Associates represented the seller while Bruce Morrison, also of Signature Associates, represented the buyer, OYK Affiliate LLC.

CHICAGO

• Fitzgerald Earles Architects and Associates (FEAA) has been sekected to design a 13,400 square-foot space for Hillard Heintze, a global security firm that is moving its corporate headquarters to new space on a different floor at 30 S. Wacker Dr.  Renovations to the new space will begin Sept. 1, with completion by the end of the year.

GRAYSLAKE, IL

• McShane Construction Co. was selected to renovate a 7,955-square-foot space for the Illinois Bone & Joint Institute, within the Belvidere Professional Center.

AUBURN HILLS, MI

• NAI Farbman, Southfield announces the lease of 2,140 sq. ft. to ZRC Operations Co. Inc. d/b/a Qdoba at 3945 Baldwin Rd., Auburn Hills, MI. NAI Farbman’s Paul DeBono and Ron Goldstone represented the landlord, JARNA 2 LLC.

WIXOM, MI

• Lipten Co. expanded its operations with the lease of 12,200 square feet at 28033 Center Oaks Court. Jim Montgomery and David Giltner of Signature Associates represented the landlord, Star Builders. Jim Montgomery also represented the tenant in negotiations.
• Xspect Solution Inc., an affiliate of Wenzel, has taken down 16,356 square feet at 28700 Beck Rd. David Giltner of Signature Associates represented the tenant.

ANN ARBOR, MI

• Colliers International was awarded the leasing assignment for the former Borders Flagship Store. The 44,000-square-foot building, in which renovations have already begun, is at 612 E Liberty.  Jim Chaconas and Brendan Cavender of Colliers International will market the property on behalf of Hughes Properties LLC.

CHICAGO
