CHICAGO-A venture of Life Storage Centers LLC, based in Barrington, has purchased the 177,000-square-foot building at 310 S. Racine Ave. for about $8.9 million from a Helix Camera & Video-affiliated land trust. Helix, which occupies nearly 50,000 square feet of space in the eight-story West Loop building, sold the property for approximately $50 per square foot.
