LITTLE FALLS, N.J. –Lee & Associates New Jersey has partnered with the former International Realty Group to open a second office in Edison, serving clients in central New Jersey.

Rick Gelmetti, the founder of International Realty, becomes an executive vice-president of Lee & Associates, based in the Edison office. He will join Brian Lynch, Rick Marchisio and Jason Lynch, founding partners of Lee’s operation in Little Falls, as principals of the company. The new office will be located at Raritan Plaza 1, in Edison’s Raritan Center Business Park.

“This new office will not only provide our office in Little Falls added outreach for our brokers and clients, but the addition of Rick brings more depth and scope to our entire team,” said Marchisio, president of Lee.  “Rick has a wealth of knowledge and is a well-respected professional in the state’s commercial brokerage industry.

Gelmetti and his team will provide brokerage and leasing services in Somerset, Middlesex and Union Counties, with a special focus in office and medical sectors, added Brian Lynch.

“Since I started in real estate almost 30 years ago, I always believed in partnering with management and management organizations to service the building owners and tenant needs, so when the opportunity to work with people at Lee Associates presented itself, I didn’t want to pass it up,” said Gelmetti.

Gelmetti said two veteran brokers have joined the new office:

  • David Saltzman, formerly of Newmark Knight Frank and Jacobson Goldfarb and Tanzman, with 25 years of experience, and
  • Linda Hill, an industrial broker with years of experience in Union County and Middlesex County.

“Both Linda and Dave joined Lee because of our unique entrepreneurial structure that gives brokers the opportunity for ownership, profit sharing and decision-making power,” Gelmetti said.  Also, several brokers from Little Falls will move from the Little Falls office to Edison to beef up the staff, he said, and more hires are planned.

Edison is one of New Jersey’s leading business hubs, and houses one of the largest concentrations of industrial properties in the Northeast, with properties totaling more than 50 million square feet. It offers proximity to the seaports of Elizabeth and New York and Newark Liberty Airport, and also immediate access to three interstate highways connecting New Jersey, New York, New England and Philadelphia, Baltimore and Washington.
