MIAMI—Jorge Perez is getting ready to break ground yet again. The Related Group just announced what he is calling his “legacy for Miami Beach.”

“Since Apogee, South Beach has not had a truly luxurious real estate development,” Perez, CEO of The Related Group, tells GlobeSt.com. “Now, four years later, the area has been anxiously awaiting our best product in the last great location South of Fifth—one that will truly meets all the expectations of the most discerning tastes. We have been holding back until we get all things right:  architects, interior design, landscaping and art.”

Dubbed One Ocean in South of Fifth, the luxury South Beach neighborhood will be home to an artful condominium project that adds to Perez’s more than 80,000 developed units. Located along Collins Avenue, Ocean Drive and South Pointe Drive, Perez invited well-known artists and designers to collaborate. Artists Jose Bedia, Michele Oka Doner, Eugenio Cuttica and photographer Daniel Azouley, will incorporate curated and select commissioned works into the design and experience.

A boutique building, One Ocean will offer 46 residences and four villas. Select residences will feature a rooftop spa and solarium, as well as front and back terraces. Typical residences at One Ocean will run about 3,000 square feet and feature private elevators.

“The interest in the project is both from domestic and foreign buyers that appreciate the highest standards, in a very intimate setting,” Perez says. Related will break ground on One Ocean within the next 10 months.
