PITTSBURGH-The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) has acquired its facility in the SouthSide Works. The nonprofit health system paid $25.06 million for Quantum I @ SouthSide Works, a four-story building at 2 Hot Metal St. in Pittsburgh.

The Pittsburgh Business Times reported that when UPMC inked a lease with the Soffer Organization 10 years ago, it had an option to purchase the Quantum I building. UPMC has been the only tenant in the 151,441-square-foot building. For the full story, go to Pittsburgh Business Times .
