(RealShare Chicago convenes at the Union League Club of Chicago October 23.)

CHICAGO-The iconic Merchandise Mart here has long dominated the landscape here, and dunnhumbyUSA decided it took wanted a piece of the city’s history and action. The data analyst signed a seven-year lease on the 22nd floor of the building, which is also the world’s largest LEED certified edifice; it gained the certification in November 2007.

dunnhumbyUSA moved to Chicago in 2008 and, according to a company release, plans to add employees over the next year. Therefore, the 11,640 square feet of space for which it signed its lease should come in handy; Milen Mahadevan, senior vice president, Client Solutions, dunnhumbyUSA concurs:

“Chicago represents a significant area of growth for dunnhumbyUSA and our presence here has already aided in growing our consumer packaged goods and retail business,” he said in the same statement. “The move to The Merchandise Mart provides greater visibility and will help in further solidifying client relationships.”

Cresa Partners, Chicago brokered the deal. Going forward, dunhumbyUSA are working towards a major US headquarters in Cincinnati that will be approximately 250,000 square feet and located at Fifth and Race Streets, Downtown there. The property has yet to be constructed.
