
VERNON HILLS, IL-Kimco Realty Corp. has snapped up a shopping center in Vernon Hills for $37.5 million. The New Hyde Park, New York-based company paid roughly $16 million in equity and acquired a $21.6-million loan on the 193,000-square-foot Hawthorn Hills Square in the northern suburb.
Beachwood, Ohio-based Chase Properties Ltd. and Lyndhurst, Ohio-based Legacy Capital Partners sold the retail center located at 700 N. Milwaukee Ave. Chase bought Hawthorn Hills for approximately $18.6 million in 2002. For the full story, go to Crain's Chicago Business .
