CHICAGO-Phoenix-based Cole Real Estate Investments has acquired Hillside Town Center in west suburban Hillside for $27 million. The shopping center, which spans 165,000 square feet at Mannheim Road and Interstate 290, is nearly 93% leased.

Current occupiers in the retail center include a HomeGoods furniture outlet, a Michaels arts and craft store, a Staples and Petco. A venture of Plote Homes LLC, based in East Dundee, sold the retail shopping center to Cole. Joe Girardi of Mid-American Real Estate Corp. brokered the sale.
