
BUFFALO-Canadian-based Welded Tube has acquired the 45 acres of land it requires to build a plant in Lackawanna. The company will build the 173,000-square-foot facility inside the old Bethlehem Steel plant complex. The $50-million project will be carried out in three phases.
The first building will be finished by February and production will start by next August. KB Business Park Redevelopment LLC bought the parcel for $316,050 from Tecumsheh Redevelopment Inc. and Welded Tube USA Realty LLC bought property for $812,700 from KB Redevelopment.
