
HONOLULU-Hawaii developer Peter Savio is planning to spend $25 million to purchase Hilo's Waiakea Lagoon View Apartments and convert the property into a student housing and 250-room hotel under the Pagoda brand. The Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported that Honolulu-based Savio is also negotiating a deal for a site to build another Pagoda-branded hotel near the campus of the University of Hawaii-West Oahu in Kapolei.
