LOUISVILLE, KY-Ventas Inc. and management of Atria Senior Living Inc. based in Louisville have taken full control over Atria. Ventas bought 3.7 million shares of Ventas common stock and a 34% in Atria for a total price of $242 million through the acquisition of investment funds managed by Lazard Freres Real Estate Investors LLC. Atria's executives and workers currently hold 66% stake of Atria.
