ALEXANDRIA, VA-MRP Realty and AEW Capital Management are teaming up to develop a mixed-used property at the Huntington Metro Station here. The partners, via a JV, acquired 2550 Huntington Ave. in late December and have rezoned the six-acre parcel to build a 360 apartment units, a 110,000-square-foot hotel and a 260,000 square foot office building.

MRP Residential will begin construction on the apartment community this year. The project also calls for a public bike trail that will run parallel to Cameron Run.

SK&I Architectural Design Group will design the residential project. David Webb of Cassidy Turley represented MRP Realty on the equity financing.
