LOS ANGELES-GlobeSt.com has learned that CBRE has just settled on a major national facilities management contract.

Details are sketchy, presumably due to client confidentiality agreements, but the Dow Chemical Co. has signed over some 6.8 million square feet of facilities management services. These services include operations management, utility and engineering support.

But this is not the first time Dow has engaged the locally based firm. CBRE already handles tenant services for Dow's 12.6-million square-foot global portfolio. In separate agreements, Dow also assigned CBRE additional facilities management services responsibilities in Singapore and Hong Kong.

“CBRE is pleased and honored to expand our relationship with Dow,” said Bill Concannon, CEO of CBRE Global Corporate Services, in a statement obtained by GlobeSt.com in advance of general release. “Through our close collaboration with the company's lab and office facility management team, this partnership will continue to deliver greater operating results on a broader scale, while enabling Dow to remain focused on its core mission.”
