LAS CRUCES, NM—A contract to design the proposed East Mesa Public Safety campus is  to be considered by the Las Cruces City Council in a meeting today when it meets at 1 p.m. today, according to the Las Cruces Sun-News.

The contract for the East Mesa Public Safety campus would be awarded to William's Design Group of Las Cruces. The contract is for a total amount, including contingencies, of $950,889.

Ten proposals were submitted to the city in July. The city's Selection Advisory Committee interviewed seven companies that submitted proposals before recommending a negotiated contract with Williams Design Group, which was finalized Nov. 30.

The scope of the work will include the design of the site and building of new public safety facilities, as well as administration of a construction contract should the city proceed with building the campus within the next three years.
