SEATTLE—Urban Visions is adding a dozen stories to the height of a proposed downtown mixed-use project. The building would reach 27 stories under the new plan, where the previous plan called for a 15-story tower with retail, office and residential space.
The Puget Sound Business Journal reports that Greg Smith, CEO of the Seattle-based development company, said he wants to take full advantage of the zoning of the site, which is at Second Avenue and Pike Street's southeast corner. The code allows a 400-foot-tall building.
ZGF Architects' Seattle office is designing the tower. A city board is tentatively scheduled to review the early design on March 19 at City Hall.
