CHANDLER, AZ-Shoppers Supply, a hardware retailer with ranching, pet and feed components, is planning its second Arizona location. To that end, the Iowa-based retailer acquired a former 121,000-square-foot space from Target Corp., with plans to open in the summer.

Once open, the store at 2880 S. Alma School Rd. will mark Shoppers Supply's second location. The company opened its first location at 3003 W. Apache Trail in Apache Junction, AZ in early 2012. Mike Polachek and Brian Polachek of SRS Retail Partners represented Target Corp. in the sale of the Chandler building. Tyson Switzenberg with SR Commercial Real Estate LLC represented Shoppers Supply.

A spokesman tells GlobeSt.comthat Shoppers Supply's owner sold its five-store operation in Iowa and is relocating to Arizona, with plans to open more stores. An update will follow.
