HOUSTON—CBRE Group Inc. recently closed deals for Huron Consulting Services LLC and Combs Gas Inc. in the multi-building American General Center in the Midtown area. Huron's lease was renewed, with expanded space, and Combs signed a new lease, reports the Houston Business Journal.

CBRE's Houston office closed on a total 28,228 square feet in the two office lease transactions.

John Pruitt and Jessica Ochoa of CBRE represented the property owner in both lease agreements: a 22,229-square-foot renewal and expansion for Huron Consulting Services at America Tower, a 43-story Class A office building at 2929 Allen Parkway, and a 5,991-square-foot lease to Combs Gas Inc. at 2727 Allen Parkway, a 16-story office building.

America Tower recently underwent $3.5 million in renovations on the 17th and 20th floors after UHY LLP and UHY Advisors Inc. signed a 10-year lease.

Don Foster of Chicago-based Jones Lang LaSalle's Houston office represented Huron Consulting, and Connor Tamlyn of CBRE represented Combs. CBRE also manages all of the buildings on the property.
