GALVESTON, TX-Though much of the multifamily property news focuses on Houston as booming when it comes to multifamily occupancies, smaller areas just outside the Houston region tell a somewhat different story. According to recent reports from San Antonio-based Apartment MarketData Research (via Texas A&M University's Real Estate Center), Galveston's overall multifamily occupancy stands at 92.5% while in Victoria, TX, occupancy is 95.5%, which ties occupancies throughout the entire state.
Meanwhile, Galveston's units averaged $0.913 per square foot and units in Victoria average $0.789 per square foot. This compares to the statewide average of $0.914 per square foot.
