DALLAS—While the numbers have not all been crunched yet, it appears that office space tightened a bit North Texas in the first quarter of this year.

The Dallas Business Journal, speaking with reps from Cushman & Wakefield of Texas, reported Wednesday that absorption increased by more than 1.5 million square feet in Q1.

"This is going to be a good year for our absorption numbers," EVP Bill McClung, told me the Journal.

"There's going to be a movement form tenants sitting on the fence, especially if they are interested in the Uptown, Preston Center or Legacy market, to make a move or miss the boat."

By some measures, the demand for office space is stronger now than at any point since 2008.
