ROCKVILLE, MD-Fallsgrove Plaza, a five-story, 110,000-squarefoot medical office building under development by Lerner Enterprises has topped out in vertical construction. Meanwhile, the company is in negotiations with a lead tenant.

Among other attributes, such as its location – the building is across from Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and the Shady Grove Life Sciences Center – Fallsgrove Plaza has been designed for LEED Gold certification.

David A. Gittleson, Nicholas M. Zuppas and Peter G. Papantoniou of Gittleson Zuppas Medical Realty of Bethesda, have been tapped to head medical office leasing for the new building. Lerner is leasing the 16,000 square feet of ground level retail space with Shady Grove Road frontage within Fallsgrove Plaza.

Besides the negotiations with the tenant, there is overall interest from prospective tenants in the project, according to Gittleson.

Donnally Vujcic Associates of Gaithersburg, MD, designed the building to meet LEED Certification Gold. The new building will be close to Fallsgrove Village Center, also owned by Lerner and the fully leased Class A Fallsgrove Village Office Center
