DALLAS—Trammell Crow Residential expects to begin work within 45 days on a high-rise apartment community that will amount to about 365 luxury units.

The Alexan Skyline apartments will be built on a cliff at the entrance to the Katy Trail. The developer has been laying the ground work for the project for several years.

Construction is expected to take about 27 months to build, Crow Residential's Steve Bancroft told the Dallas Morning NewsCrow Residential is working with Addison-based investor Behringer Harvard to develop the 10-story apartment block, which will be built above the landmark waterfall sign on Stemmons Freeway.

“We went the more traditional vs. modern route with the architecture,” Bancroft said. “It looks like two buildings, but it's connected.”
