HOUSTON—Two new upscale retailers, The Boardroom for Men and J. McLaughlin, are locating stores in the Houston market.

The Boardroom for Men, an upscale men's salon, plans to lease a 2,100-square-foot space at 2526 Rice Boulevard, addording to a report in the Houston Businesses Journal.

Shaw MacIntyre with UCR Houston represented the tenant in the transaction. Bob Conwell and Rebecca Nguyen of NewQuest Properties represented the landlord, Rice Properties.

Additionally, the company signed J. McLaughlin in the River Oaks Shopping Center.

The Brooklyn-based J. McLaughlin, is a vendor of classic American apparel and accessories for men and women. This is the retailer's first Texas store, which is also expected to open in June.

Mike Wheeler with UCR Houston represented the tenant in the transaction. Brooke Harvey represented the landlord,Weingarten Realty Investors .
