ATLANTA-The Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority is set to issue a Request for Qualifications next month to interested developers and investors for a prime four-acre parcel adjacent to the King Memorial station here.
The agency's board of directors approved a measure to send out the RFQs at a meeting earlier this week, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle. MARTA officials will review the RFQs over the next two months and whittle down the likely candidates and then seek more detailed proposals from the finalists. The property is currently zoned for mixed use.
The King Memorial is the first of at least five transit stations slated for development over the next two years. See story in the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
