BETHESDA, MD-DRI Development Services LLC has retained Holliday Fenoglio Fowler in an attempt to secure new equity investors for its Rock Spring Center project here.

The firm is hopeful to begin construction on the mixed-use project this summer, but needs to replace The Peterson Cos., which severed ties with the firm on the project last November. DRI President Christian Spitz says he is optimistic a new equity partner will be found.

“We're in the market for an equity partner," he says. "We are definitely moving forward, and we hope to be under construction sometime this summer."

The first phase of the  project will feature 260,000 square feet of retail space and a 200-room hotel. Later phases call for the development of approximately 160 apartments and more than 500,000 square feet of office space. See story in the Washington Business Journal.
