WASHINGTON, DC-GE Capital Real Estate provided $9.5 million in senior debt financing for a Downtown office that is part of a portfolio owned by an institutional investor and advised by Binswanger. The boutique property, 1808 Eye St., is nine stories and 32,529 square feet.

Jones Lang LaSalle's Wesley Boatwright, Mike Yavinksy and Jon Goldstein secured the financing for the borrower.

1808 Eye St. is located one block north of Pennsylvania Avenue and two blocks southwest of the intersection of K and Connecticut avenues – a location that has attracted tenants that desire a centrally-located office. The building has some unusual touches, especially for one that is not quite 15 years old. It has small floorplates that allow for full-floor identity, 9' ceiling heights, balconies and extensive window line.
