MONTVALE, NJ-The Borough Council voted last night to rezone the DePiero farm to allow for retail development on a portion of the property.
The rezoning of the property will now allow the DePiero's and developer The S. Hekemian Group to file an application for The Shoppes at DePiero Farm, that will include a 140,000-square-foot Wegmans supermarket and as much as 84,000 square feet of added retail and restaurant space, according to The Record.
The DePieros are seeking to sell 28 acres of land because their country store is no longer profitable. See story in The Record.
