PHOENIX-Christopher Anderson has rejoined Hines as managing director of the local office. In this capacity, Anderson will oversee Hines' operations in Arizona and New Mexico, which includes activities involving new business, development, property management and asset management
Anderson is no stranger to Hines, having been with the firm from 2000 to 2006 as a senior project manager. During that period, Anderson was involved in the development of 24th at Camelback I in Phoenix; oversaw development management of Glendale Arena (now Jobring.com Arena) and spearheaded land acquisition for the Scottsdale Corporate Center.
From 2006 to 2013, Anderson was as vice president of development for Forest City Enterprises Inc. in Albuquerque, NM. There, he was responsible for oversight of the company's Mesa del Sol 12,900-acre master-planned community.
Anderson received his Masters of Real Estate and a Masters of Construction Management from the University of Denver, and a BS in Finance with a concentration in Real Estate from Arizona State University.
Hines has been active in the New Mexico market since 1983 and the Arizona market since 1996. The firm has developed 2.4 million square feet in the two states, and currently manages 2.3 million square feet there. "Arizona and New Mexico are ever-growing markets that are important to us, and Chris will be instrumental in expanding the Hines brand by identifying additional growth opportunities," says Mark Cover, senior managing director and CEO of the firm's southwest region in a press release.
