WASHINGTON, DC-Architects appear to have a yen for space in 1010 Wisconsin Ave. J Street Cos. has just negotiated a five-year renewal of 14,145 square feet in the building for a client, Gridley Architects. In addition, the owner, RB Associates, has just negotiated a lease for the top two floors of the building with another architect firm, J Street's Andy Wolf tells GlobeSt.com. The building is almost completely occupied as a result. "As far as the submarket itself, Georgetown has always been popular with architects," he adds.

Gridley Architects has been located at 1010 Wisconsin for 18 years but it still embarked on a search for comparable space, Wolf says. It decided to stay put because it was the best option, he says.

"Georgetown has been a good market recently posting positive net absorption," Wolf says.
