FONTANA, CA—DCT Industrial Trust Inc., a leading industrial real estate company, has completed the pre-lease of a 610,000 square foot building, DCT Slover Logistics Center II.
This is the second building in the DCT development, totaling 1.3 million square feet in the Inland Empire West.
Distribution Alternatives, Inc. has committed to a long-term lease of DCT Slover Logistics Center II, in addition to its previously announced pre-lease of DCT Slover Logistics Center I. The leading third-party logistics provider will be the sole tenant of the campus and will take occupancy immediately upon completion of each building.
“This development allows DCT to meet our customer's needs and pre-lease both buildings more than a year before construction is complete,” said Jeff Phelan, president, DCT Industrial. “DCT's expertise in ground-up development allows us to provide successful solutions to complex expansion needs across our markets.”
Bud Pharris, regional VP of DCT Industrial said, “The pre-leasing of these two buildings speaks to the strength of industrial real estate in the Inland Empire, particularly with respect to the desire for cross-dock, cass-A facilities.”
DCT Industrial began construction on phase I in Q4 2012 and will commence construction on DCT Slover Logistics Center II in Q3 2013. The 1.3 million square foot development project is estimated to be complete in Q1 of 2014.
DCT Industrial was represented by Michael Chavez of Lee & Associations-Ontario and the tenant was represented by Rob Davidson of Davidson Companies-Minnesota.
DCT Industrial Trust Inc. is a leading industrial real estate company specializing in the acquisition, development, leasing and management of bulk distribution and light industrial properties in high-volume distribution markets in the U.S. and Mexico.
