PHILADELPHIA-The fourth and final day of casino hearings was highlighted by a coalition called “No Casino in Our City” that held anti-casino signs and testified against the licensure of a second casino in the city.

The protest by mostly Chinatown residents on Wednesday brought to a close the casino public hearings by the state Gaming Control Board, which will ultimately select one of six bidders vying for the right to build a second casino in Philadelphia.

More than 150 people testified over two days last month before the Gaming Control Board at the Convention Center and for two days this week at Lincoln Financial Field.

"A casino is poison to our community, to our families," said Steven Mac, a representative of the Hip Sing Association in Chinatown. "We don't need any more casinos. It is enough." See story in the Inquirer.
