ATLANTIC CITY, NJ-A $75-million development project on Atlantic City's South Inlet has been approved by the City Council.

The vote finalizes a deal between and Boraie Development LLC and partner former NBA superstar Shaquille O'Neal that calls for a mixed-use project that will include a movie theater and supermarket.

The Southern Inlet Village Community Project, which spans Atlantic Avenue from Delaware to New Jersey avenues, will consist of residential, commercial, office and retail space, in addition to the movie theater and supermarket, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

O'Neal in a statement, said of the council's vote: “I'm proud to be part of this amazing development. When it is completed, Atlantic City residents and visitors will see what my team's vision is for Atlantic City and our commitment to the urban center.” See story in the Press of Atlantic City.
