LAS VEGAS-Don't be fooled. Just because Retail: The Next Wave, is sponsored by RECon's Women in Real Estate Special Interest Group, this event is for everyone. Indeed the issues on the table touch the full spectrum of professionals attending the massive Las Vegas conference.

“RECon is always about future trends, and our SIG is no different,” says Faith Hope Consolo, chairman of Douglas Elliman's Retail Group and program chair. The panel discussion is set for Sunday, May 19, from 3 to 4:30PM in rooms N238 to N242 of the convention center.

“Despite our name, this session and indeed all Women's SIGs are open to all,” Consolo says. “That has been one of the joys of launching and growing this program with ICSC: seeing women advance through educational panels and personal interaction, and men supporting them to the benefit of the entire industry.”

The panelists are: Stephen E. Gallant of Jos. A. Bank Clothiers; Buck Sappenfield of ANN Inc.; James Tenser of V.S.N. Strategies; Marianne Wilson of Chain Store Age; and Daniella Yacobovsky of BaubleBar.

Included in the list of issues that will be treated during the discussion are the effects of technology on brick-and-mortar stores' expansion plans and configurations; and e-commerce.
