MEMPHIS-Building owners and brokers are facing a Thursday deadline for proposals in connection with the state of Tennessee's search for 100,000 square feet of space in Memphis.

The search is the direct result of the state's plan to sell the Donnelley J. Hill State Office Building were Tennessee employs 911 people employed by 12 different agencies. Gov. Bill Haslam and other state officials have stated repeated the offices would remain in downtown Memphis, according to the Memphis Business Journal.

In addition to the requirement in the city of Memphis, the state is also searching for 200,000 square feet of office space outside of Memphis. See story in the Memphis Business Journal.
