NEW YORK CITY-Although Toys R Us can still decide to renew its flagship store space in Times Square, the owner of the property has Cushman & Wakefield marketing the space for lease at a retail convention in Las Vegas.
The toy retailer's space at 1514 Broadway totals 100,000 square feet. While the lease expires in 2016, Cushman has been quietly marketing the space at the Global Retail Real Estate Convention in Las Vegas, according to Crain's New York Business. Brad Mendelson of Cushman, is handling the Toys R Us potential vacancy on behalf of the landlord Charles Moss.
"This is by far one of the most valuable retail spaces in the city to hit the market in a long time," says Glenn Rufrano, CEO of the brokerage firm Cushman & Wakefield Inc. See story in Crain's New York Business.
