MINNETONKA, MN—UnitedHealth Group has sold two of its office towers here for $146 million to an affiliate of Mesirow Financial.
The locally-based company, which officially issued a statement on Tuesday saying that it is considering a “sale-leaseback of its facilities at 9700 and 9800 Health Care Lane,” in fact sold the properties to Chicago-based Mesirow Financial affiliate Healthcare Lane Propco.
At about the same time it released its statement, UnitedHealth filed a certificate of real estate value with Hennepin County that disclosed details of the sale price and buyer, according to the Twin Cities Business Journal.
9700 Health Care Lane is an 11-story, 350,000 square-foot office building built in 2011 by McGough Construction. 9800 Health Care Lane is 10 stories and totals 350,000 square feet. The property was built in 2007 by Opus Group. See story in the Twin Cities Business Journal.
