ATLANTIC CITY-Singer Jimmy Buffet's $35-million Margaritaville bar, restaurant and casino facility opened for business today on the waterfront.
A host of dignitaries were on hand to help celebrate the opening of the tropical-themed oriented venue, including Gov. Chris Christie, and Resorts Casino Hotel owner Morris Bailey. Buffet, himself, was in Europe and could not attend the Thursday opening.
Margaritaville is the centerpiece of $70 million in recent upgrades to Resorts, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
Bailey, believes Margaritaville will be a “spectacular success,” adding, “What we needed was a new brand, some new excitement,” he said. “Now, we have what I think is the best brand in the United States.” See story in the Press of Atlantic City.
