BLOOMINGTON, MN-Residential equipment manufacturer The Toro Co. is looking to secure approvals for a 75,000-square-foot expansion at its corporate headquarters here.
The company is looking to build a three-story addition to its circa 1952 one-story headquarters, according to Larry Lee, Bloomington's director of community development. Toro has asked the city to rezone from residential a portion of the 15 acres next to its headquarters, according to the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.
Toro, which manufactures mowers, irrigation supplies, snowthrowers and leaf blowers, owns approximately six million square feet of manufacturing, distribution, warehouse, and office facilities.
Lee adds that the Toro expansion plan will likely be aired by at a city planning commission hearing on June 6 and by the City Council on July 1. See story in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Business Journal.
